ABOUT NEAL PETERSEN
In these challenging times of uncertainty & insecurity, many feel like solo sailors grasping for survival. Neal Petersen provides validity for direct correlations between perseverance & determination to achieve any goal.
Neal has completed two amazing journeys: a single-handed yacht race around the world, 27,000 miles, 9 months at sea, around notorious Cape Horn, alone, in the smallest yacht he designed & built himself. And an even more arduous trip of overcoming racial prejudice during the Apartheid era in South Africa, poverty & a childhood physical disability, just to make it to the start line!
Award-winning author of Journey of a Hope Merchant & subject of a PBS documentary, Neal empowers audiences, by example, on how to navigate forward, deal with constant wind shifts, sudden storms, conquer fear, isolation, while dealing with an ever-present changing world? Neal takes audiences on a captivating personal journey around the world and shows – by example – that you can achieve your goals by turning setbacks and barriers into opportunities, with the right attitude.
When Helsinn, a global pharmaceutical company launched a new drug & were in the midst of major changes, they needed a keynote speaker who could weave their messaging of “Making Waves” within a brilliantly told story. That choice was Neal Petersen. PNC Bank needed their senior team motivated to navigate a growing future as their organization expands in spite of banking reform. They turned to Neal’s leadership experiences of life & death choices he made on the high seas.
